GL TEAM LEAD

THE TEAM LEAD FOR GENERAL LEDGER ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all General Ledger/Closing transactions in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements. GL Team Lead reports to GL Manager and directly leads the GL team (5-10 empl). He/she is responsible for leading the team including workload allocation, scheduling and review of performed work, motivation, recruitment and other.
•Responsible for General Ledger closing operations including issue identification, evaluation as well as resolution
•Provides guidance and supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements
•Facilitates requests from internal and external auditors, providing detailed and reliable information
•Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Dana Inc. of agreed policies and procedures by team members
•Understand service level agreements and key performance indicators for General Ledger/Closing related processes
•Contribute to the continuous maintenance and the update of General Ledger/Closing process activities and procedures as well as taking part in projects
•Assist and drive the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the General Ledger/Closing process
•Lead personnel including coaching, hiring, training, performance review and terminations
•Perform special projects as assigned
•3-5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting operations, preferably in a Service Center environment, with a thorough knowledge of Accounting and business processes including interfaces, as well as related IT systems (e.g., SAP and Oracle)
•At least 3 years in General Ledger
•At least 1 year experience as a team leader/manager
•Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure
•Acts as a role model by being a strong team-player
•Ability to adapt to new culture and people
•Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs and market trends
•Highly-organized, detail-oriented, flexible team-player, ability to resolve conflict/disputes
•Strong focus to process improvements
•Business proficient English and good Lithuanian language skills
•Willingness to contribute to DANA’s culture and grow
•Strong communication skills and positive attitude
